with adolescents with special needs. He also has extensive experience in running camps or
retreats. These too, have been very successful
in achieving a number of positive outcomes for everyone involved, staff and attendees alike. They run as daily, overnight, or from 2 to five-night adventures.
The focus of each camp or retreat, can becatered to suit specific groups. These can include, but not limited to; developing resilience,
communication/social skills and confidence building in a social setting, learning life skills, such as cooking and cleaning, as well as the fun and enjoyment gained from participation in a range of physical activities (walking, riding, swimming, canoeing, recreational games and much more).
These experiences, conducted in a natural setting, allows all participants to reconnect with nature and to appreciate their own place in life and to experience things that they may otherwise not have the opportunity. These camps and retreats allow for respite for parents, carers, and siblings as well as growth for us all.
